Special-needs actors will present "The Jungle Book" Sunday and Monday in the performing arts center at the Lyons Township High School South Campus, 4900 Willow Springs Road, Western Springs. Performances begin at 2 p.m. Sunday and at 7 p.m. Monday. Tickets are $4. Nineteen special-needs adults and high school students are bringing the production to life, following weekly rehearsals since September in an LT adult education class. One member of the cast is Josh Harris of Western Springs, who uses a computerized device to speak his lines and sing. "Josh is one of our buzzards, and it just adds to the fun having this American man's voice saying lines with British expressions like, 'blimey,'" said director Christine Rehak-Grohne. "He and his mom have programmed things into his computer, and he presses a button or an icon." Cast members range in age from 19 to 45 and live in communities including LaGrange Park, Clarendon Hills, Darien, Western Springs and La Grange.
