Disaster Preparation for People Who Use AAC and Their Families
Click here to sign up for the Disaster Preparedness for People who Use AAC and Their Families course. This free toolkit was developed by USSAAC's Disaster Relief Committee to help you be prepared for natural disasters. Delivered daily via text message, you will learn how to
- Sign up for local Emergency Alerts,
- Prepare an Emergency Communication Passport,
- Develop emergency and shelter specific communication boards,
- Select Go Bag items with AAC needs in mind, and
- Create and practice your emergency plan with your selected team.
In addition to phone/text access, those with International numbers can receive these materials through WhatsApp. Thanks to the generous donations from USSAAC members and friends for making this possible!
