Speaker Instructions
Thank you for your interest in USSAAC's AAC Speaker Connection. To register as a speaker, just follow these steps. If you have any trouble, please contact us.
- Create a speaker profile. It will be used to highlight your strengths and interests for speaking events. We strongly recommend including a picture for your profile.
- We review all profile requests. Expect to receive a notification of acceptance and you should soon see your profile on the site.
- Be on the lookout for messages from event organizers. Emails from the site may go to your spam folder. If possible, whitelist the Speaker Connection email address or add it to your email address book.
- Start promoting yourself as a speaker on USSAAC'S AAC Speaker Connection.
- Once you receive a message from an event organizer, please check to see if they have included these important details about the event:
- type of event
- date/time
- duration
- in-person or virtual
- honorarium amount
- Make your connection: You may exchange several emails with the event organizer before confirming the event.
- Before your event, please review these accessibility guidelines (attachment: Accessibility Agreement for Virtual Events) with your event organizer to ensure a successful event.
- Once your event is complete, you will receive an email to complete a survey. This will help us to continue to make connections better for our event organizers and AAC speakers. We also welcome a testimonial from you.
- Please consider becoming a member of USSAAC if you are not already.
