Miriam Boesch - Denton, TX

Miriam Boesch, Ph.D. is a Professor of Special Education at the University of North Texas. Her research focuses on assessing the preparation of special education teachers in augmentative and alternative communication, investigating the reliability of app evaluation tools, and addressing challenging behaviors of students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). She teaches courses in ASD, intervention strategies, and behavior management. She is the project director for Project Communicate, co-author of Implementing Effective Augmentative and Alternative Communication Practices for Students with Complex Communication Needs: A Handbook for School-Based Practitioners, and publishes her work in various national and international outlets.
